We’ve experienced years of negative, fear-driven headlines and political speeches with very little action to match. Instead of centering productive action, many, cornered by the fear, feel no choice but to opt for divisive performative activism.
It’s time for progress over perfection. Welcome to a new kind of environmental movement: One focused on local and individual action to build a community of solutions-oriented young Americans.
The American Conservation Coalition was started in 2017 with the mission of changing the narrative around environmental action to build the conservative environmental movement our planet needs. We’re a mission-driven group of college students and young professionals who care about the environment and are doing something about it.
Over ACC’s history, our members have:
Launched more than 75 community and campus-based Branches and counting, representing 100+ communities across the United States.
Advocated for our approach with Members of Congress, state and local governments, and other decision-makers.
Been featured in national and state media outlets, including The Economist, ABC News, the Washington Examiner, InsideClimate News, and more.
Helped pass meaningful legislation, including the Energy Act of 2020, the Great American Outdoors Act, and the Growing Climate Solutions Act.
Engaged in national advocacy, taking our message all the way to Capitol Hill and the White House.
Represented ACC internationally, including at events like the United Nations Conference of Parties, or the annual international climate conference.
Organized at the nation’s first-ever conference for conservative youth climate action.
